The Fourth One – Pacific Coast/Willamette National Forest, Oregon

The pure beauty,
it’s endless, it’s inspiring.

Yet now I am cascading into the unknown.
Drowning where I thought was safe.
It’s breaking…
I’m breaking…
We’re breaking…
& broken.

I dipped into the opal pool.
As magical as it was,
it was too cold to go back.
It hurts to leave, it was so beautiful.
But there will always be beauty ahead.

To go forward,
and see what’s there,
or to go backward
to reassure the water is still cold..
I choose to go forward.

The light will shine when you least expect.
And sometimes when you least expect,
the clouds roll in and the sky turns black.
Rest in peace to Lilybear,
and to the two that once were.
And even through the darkness,
know that yin cannot survive without yang.
So let the storm dance on.

The wind was strong,
& it blew me away.
It changed direction,
and I no longer felt safe.
It loves me,
it loves me not.
I don’t wanna play.

love, laura.
